We ordered an array of food, for the table. Buffalo/Elk chilli was really good. Buffalo burger was as good as any burger I've ever had. Gumbo was okay. The serving size of chips and fries was crazy big. We had so much left over. Colby was our server. He was excellent. We sit in the upstairs room. They also have an outdoor seating area, with a fire pit. I could eat here every day!
An absolute phenomenal time here at the Canteen! It’s very cute inside and cozy. Workers are tremendously friendly and our waiter especially was very kind hearted and helpful. Bison bolognese was good but could’ve come out hotter. The buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was easily some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Their fries are delicious and addicting. For dessert you must get the brownie as it tastes so good and the texture is to die for. Such a good meal!
Probably the best value in town. The food here is above average and great selection. I love that they put the seared tuna salad back on the menu, easily my favorite thing... the drinks are large and we'll made. The grilled cheese with soup was well paired. The steak frites is the one thing that was a little disappointing, being the most expensive I would expect more in the execution. Not particularly cooked well nor very tender. Overall we were very pleased and will return.
Food was delicious. I loved the Reuben with elk and bison chili. Husband said his BBQ brisket sandwich is probably the best he has ever had in his life. This place had a parking lot which was great for how busy it was in town.
Nut allergy friendly! I mentioned it and everything I had was fine. I was told the apple pie is the only thing with nuts. We got in with a group of 12 on a Tuesday night during spring break and were blessed enough to get a table for all of us after being turned away from nearly everywhere else on Main Street. Service was quite fast (less than 20 minutes for most of our dishes). I ordered the wings (G-DUB) and Carnivore Flatbread for two. We had a few slices of the flatbread left at the end. The wings were flavorful and surprisingly crispy! They were served with celery and ranch. The flatbread was very sharable, about 8 or 10 pieces and packed with ingredients. The drinks are pretty strong (apparently) so worth the price!
The menu has a great variety of options. Service is always wonderful and the food is delicious. In the summer the deck is a great place to be.

The atmosphere of the place makes you want to come back here - the cozy interior and unique atmosphere create a unique place, ideal for meetings with friends or family. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back!
Good food and tavern vibes. They also have a nice outdoor patio and tvs with the games on inside. Get the Mac and cheese, it was delicious! Everything we got was good and the burger was absolutely massive! A glass of wine was 16 which is pricey, get the margarita instead.
